Luke is also an inventor with hands-on experience and proprietary, data-driven scientific expertise in the discovery of highly selective and specific small-molecule drug candidates—over 70% of his proposed compounds were independently validated through experimental studies by scientists at the University of California, San Francisco.

He is a co-author of patents in biosensor arrays (from a spin-off of UC Berkeley and Stanford), calcium ion channel modulators, and receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TrkA program was later acquired by Purdue Pharma), demonstrating an innovative approach to tackling complex scientific and technological challenges. He is passionate about leveraging cutting-edge technologies to drive business value and enhance R&D processes.
